Short bio
Richard is an accredited and UKCP registered psychotherapist. He is also a psychosexual therapist, couples counselor, Level 3 EMDR trauma specialist and Consultant Clinical Supervisor. He is a member of the BACP, BABCP and is accredited by COSRT. Richard trained at Spectrum, CPPD and the Whittington Hospital. Richard has over 15 years experience in working with most counselling issues as well as trauma and Post Traumatic Stress. This includes Type 1 trauma (attacks/serious incidents and accidents) as well as Type 2 trauma (long term abuse and violence). He works with individuals (including adolescents), couples and groups. Richard teaches regularly CBT and PTSD on counselling and supervision trainings and is involved with a variety of agencies. Although he has trained in a wide variety of
psychotherapeutic models it is his ability to blend Gestalt, Psychodynamic, CBT and EMDR into his work that allows him to work in an inclusive and integrative way.
